How to Add a Link to an Image in Webflow

Adding a link to an image in Webflow isn’t quite as straightforward as in some other website builders, but it can easily be done by all levels of Webflow users. In this article, we’ll show you how to add a link to an existing image in the designer, as well as how to add a link to an image in CMS rich text.

  1. Select the image you’d like to add the link to.
  2. Right click on the image, then hover over the Wrap in and select Link Block.

  1. Select the settings icon for the new Link Block element, then paste your link into the URL field.

  1. Select the image you’d like to add a link to or create a new image, or create a new image by selecting the plus icon, then the image icon in the CMS rich text field.
  2. Go to the settings for the image, then to the Link tab.

  1. Select the External URL option in the Link to: dropdown.
